The Word Of The Kingdom(Matt 13:3-8, 18-23)
The parable of the sower, is a very popular one. Probably one of the first ones learnt as a young believer.
Jesus told the story of a sower or farmer who went out to sow some seed. Some of the seeds fell by the way side and the fowls came and devoured them, some fell on the stony places, they sprang up quite all right but because there was not much earth they where scorched and withered away when the sun was up. Some other seed fell among thorns and the thorns choked them up. Others fell on to good ground and brought forth a plentiful harvest.
Jesus explained that he that hears the word of the kingdom and does not understand it, the wicked one that is the devil comes and snatches it away. These are the people who receive the seed by the way side. My sister I want you to think, what is The word of the kingdom concerning you (your situation) I have to come to tell you that if you don’t understand it the devil will snatch it away from you and even though God has said good things concerning you they will never manifest. Now is the time to take every word He has spoken about you study it and understand it. It will surely come to pass. We can take an example from when we learnt things at school. The things we still have now that is our knowledge of a thing are those things that we understood while reading them. Those things we just “crammed” in order to pass an exam I am sure you will bear witness that you can’t remember these things. back to Newsletter page
The seed that was sown on thin rocky soil represent those that hear the word of God concerning them and welcome it and receive it with joy. Because it has no root in them, this joy lasts a very short time. When problems come as a result of the word they received for example, persecution ridicule because of waiting on the promise, they become offended and instead of drawing closer to God at that time they start drawing away from Him. One thing that you notice is that the seed did fall on some kind of soil though not ideal soil. These people understand what the word says concerning them and they rejoice at the prospect of the breakthrough, the promotion etc. However the word has no root in them. For the word to have root in you, you must know what it says about your situation, know it by heart and continue to confess it in the face of any contrary situation. This is what God had in mind when he said to Joshua (Joshua 1:8) that this book of the LORD shall not depart out of thy mouth, but thy shall meditate therein day and night that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success. back to Newsletter page
Another person, who receives the word with joy, is the one who receives it, understands it and is actually on his or her way to the manifestation of the word in their lives. Unfortunately thorns choke it. The thorns representing the cares of the world, pleasures delight, glamour and deceitfulness of riches choke and suffocate the word, so that it yields no fruit. I see the problem of thorns as one that can easily be dealt with if noticed and sorted out quickly. A farmer is always on the look out for weeds, when he finds them among his plants he uproots them quickly, because he knows that they will compete with his crops for nutrients and eventually kill them. Likewise as Christians we should always be on the look out. When we notice these creeping in we should violently uproot them from our lives.
Take note of the seed that fell on good soil it bore fruit in abundance, this will be our portion In Jesus name. Have you ever noticed how a breakthrough in one area makes you bold to have faith for a breakthrough in other areas? Also if that same situation comes your way in future you have no fear because you know that God that saw you through once will definitely do it again. I call it “the ripple effect”.
As we trust God standing on his various promises, which have come through reading the word of God and by word of prophesy I pray that it will fall on good soil in our hearts and to Gods glory yield fruit in abundance. AMEN
My Testimony
I got married in Oct 1999 expecting to start having children immediately.
As the bible says ‘…my ways are not your ways’, so months passed by and nothing happened. I became worried and so I visited a Gynaecologist, started ‘charting’, etc but still after about 6 months nothing happened. I then made my husband visit the doctor. After the first visit my husband said he was not ready to ‘waste’ his money on the doctors because he knew that we are fine.
During this time a year had passed and my relatives were asking me questions about children. In order to keep them off I told them that I was on family planning. Fortunately for me around this time my husband got a job in The Gambia and I was only too happy to run away from everyone I knew because of questioning eyes.
Each month when I found out I was not pregnant I became very sad. I began taking it out on my husband - I had to blame someone especially when he was not showing as much interest as I was in the matter.
I use to put a pillow under my blouse and pray to God that one day I will look like that. Whenever I see children around I just couldn’t help wishing for mine.
Later on, my husband made a pledge, saying if God would give us a child he will give one (1) month’s salary, but instead of waiting for the child to come he just went ahead and sowed the salary. About three (3) months later I started feeling unwell and went to see the doctor, lo and behold, the good news that I was pregnant!!!
To God’s glory, on exactly my birthday in December 2001, the Lord heard my prayers and wiped my tears away – I gave birth to a bouncing baby boy, Halleluiah!
I am giving this testimony to encourage everyone waiting for the fruit of the womb. If God can do it for me, He will do it for you no matter how long you have been waiting on Him. Please do not give up. He is a merciful and faithful God.
What I See
I see a world in its dying throes
With a people that doesn’t want to know

Failing to inform them of the devils intent

I see our Saviour on the cross of Calvary
I see his tears
I feel his pain
He’s wondering why those of us called by his name
Are ashamed or perhaps too busy to reach out

TEXT: LUKE 13: 10 – 17

Woman, you are released [Ampl]

From our text of today, this woman who is our case study is said to be afflicted for 18years by the demon of sickness according to the
Amplifier bible. The bible says she was bent over. She could not stand upright; she was bent over for good 18yrs.
[DESCRIPTION OF HER POSTURE] she cannot behold the beauty of the firmament
A day came, this woman came to the synagogue and Jesus saw her, The all seeing God behold her in her predicament, heaven took note of her and she was made whole, because you came today, heaven will take note of you, the all seeing God will behold you today, the one who can see through in to your heart, He knows the intent of heart, he will see you the way you really are and you will be release from every grip of Satan. I said every stronghold will be pull down today, every evil imagination that exalt himself than the throne of Christ will be pull down this season of grace.
It doesn’t matter how long yours is, you will be released
I don’t know what your own affliction is
May be you are not up right in you marriage [a difficult husband]
or your child [ren] give[s] you concern
Financial bedding
The Law of the land had squeezed life out of you
You have been roped into immigration mess
You will be release today.
This season, heaven will see you, take note of you and you will be set free.
Here the word of God for you this season of grace
This woman came to the church on an occasion when heaven was on planet earth, the person of Jesus. Heaven Himself was the one teaching at the synagogue,
the Word Himself was at the synagogue
John 1v1:5
1IN THE beginning [before all time] was the Word ([a]Christ), and the Word was with God, and the Word was God [b]Himself.( {Amp
2He was present originally with God.
3All things were made and came into existence through Him; and without Him was not even one thing made that has come into being.
4In Him was Life, and the Life was the Light of men.
5And the Light shines on in the darkness, for the darkness has never overpowered it [put it out or absorbed it or appropriated it, and is unreceptive to it].
He is the word that swallows all the word. The word will be released upon your life today and you and I shall be release from every bondage, we are coming out of obscurity, we shall be release into our destiny, we shall stand upright and shine for Jesus.
Thank God for this dispensation we are,
Jesus is always in the synagogue now, He is here right in our midst, glory be to God in the Highest.
This afternoon I want us to take our time to look at the feature of this woman
This I want us to do prayerfully this afternoon because we are speaking the word of God, which I will say we are speaking Christ himself according the scripture we read earlier. I can assure you Christ is here presently, He says wherever 2 or 3 are gather in His name ….
This woman was said to be in the synagogue where the teaching of the word was going on
The woman did not allow her circumstance to take her away from the presence of God, she came for the teaching of the word.
What I found out about people is, especially in this western world is as soon as they are in one situation first thing they boycott is coming to church.
This woman resolved in her mind that whatever the case may be I will serve God. She must have settled in her mind that if I choose to serve God or go to Church God will still be God, and if I choose not God will still be God.
I can imagine her coming to church in the posture satan has put her, singing,
I worship you, [x2]
The reason I live is to worship you.
Lord I worship you because of who you.
She knows the decision that is beneficial and she knows she is the beneficiary.
In the book of

One of the fact that I want you to go home with today is if because of you situation you refuse to serve God, He will still be God, those that said there is no God, has not change anything in God’s glory or majesty , if we refuse to come to church, God will still do what He choose to do in the service. we should not allow our situation to take us away from the presence of God no matter what.
This woman refuses to fellowship with her circumstance, she come to church to rather fellowship with the King of glory. she understand the word of God in Psalm 30vs.5
that Weeping may endure for a night, But joy comes in the morning.
When you fellowship with your situation, you magnify the problem.
This sometimes is done subconscious
When we fellowship with our problems the Result are like to be -
Depression
Lead to another sickness [hypertension ]
Bible says in Psalm 127:2
It is vain for you to rise up early,To sit up late, To eat the bread of sorrows; For so He gives His beloved sleep.
Bible even made us to understand that fellowship with problem will lead to sleeping from sorrow – Ref, Luke 22vs. 45, when Jesus came to his disciple, Jesus even said this can lead them into temptation
This woman refuse to fall into temptation, she refuse to compound her problem, it is not possible to focus on two things at the same time. When you focus on your problem, you will loose focus on God. And vis vasa.
Why not focus on the author and the finisher of your faith, your destiny, the re-writer of history, the lifter of head. The Almighty that can raise a beggar from the dunghill, and make him seat among the prices.
This woman choose to make herself available at the church during digging deep, Sunday school service, craving to know God better so to serve Him better, she was getting acquainted with the word of God, she did not allow her circumstances to destroy her. The bible says my people perish because they lack knowledge, our God is bigger than our circumstance. She came to church to learn more word so to be able to evangelised effectively.
She positions herself where her life can receive life changing word..
I have good news for everyone of us here today including myself, because you are here today, we have enthrone Him in our midst by our praise, we have provoke his presence into our midst by worship His word is being spoken, we would all be set free from whatever things that is not letting our joy to be full today.
Every stronghold shall be pull down
Philippians 2:9
Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name,
Our situation has a name, our God is bigger, His name is above every name
4(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)
5Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;
6And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.
Today every imaginations that exalt itself against the knowledge of God will be pull down
Every argument in mind, that is contradicting the word of God, exalting itself against the knowledge of God be pull down in Jesus name
Today, we are breaking loose, breaking barriers, breaking limitation, breaking fort, crossing lines. We are taking over Territory. We are taking over dominion. We are in charge,
Hear what bible says you are =
1 Peter 2:9
But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;
Revelation 1:6
and has made us kings and priests to His God and Father, to Him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.
Revelation 5:10
And have made us kings and priests to our God; And we shall reign on the earth.”.
2 major points but one we can learn from this woman is Position and focus.
When you are rightly position you can focus right. Mind you, you can be rightly position and focus wrongly,
But I know one thing for sure that there is know way you can focus right at the wrong position.
When you position yourself right, favour of God can work thing out for you even without asking. When you are rightly position, you get not only what you want but what you need.
Example in the bible is the lame man positioned at the beautiful gate
It is important we mention this, that if we think we are seeking or hungry for God, do you know God is more hungry for you than you do, the bible says His eyes goes to and fro to see whom to show Himself mighty
Another thing I want to call our attention to in our text of today is that there was rule and protocol. But Jesus breaks the protocols.
He suspended the law of nature, there is no law he cannot suspend to cause your joy to be full this year.
He will suspend the rules to put our opponent to shame and cause every one to rejoice with us in Jesus name.
This season is our turn to rejoice, and people will rejoice with us, all our enemies will be put to shame
In verse 17, the bible says all His opponent were put to shame, the opponent of the woman became Jesus opponent automatically,
All your enemies are JESUS enemies,
ILLUSTRATION
A sister who was trusting God for the fruit of the womb and was not going for choir practice again
She left her position of services.
That is another way of being absent, I pray God will help all of us.
Brethren, the greatest breakthrough we can have is the breakthrough of the salvation of your life
